Applications will be received through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). A completed application should include a personal statement, curriculum vitae, Dean's letter, transcript and three letters of recommendation. Invitations for personal interviews will be based upon the completed application materials.
The following screening guidelines will be used for initial evaluation of applicants:
a. Applicants should have completed medical school within the last five years.
b. Applicants should have passed Steps I and II of the USMLE with no failures and a minimum score of 190 on each.
c. International graduates should have at least one year of clinical experience in the United States. We do not sponsor Visa’s.
Each applicant will be interviewed by members of the selection committee. One interview is all that is required; however, applicants are welcome to visit informally if they wish. Please call the residency office at (704) 721-2063 if you would like to make such a visit or if you have any questions.
