Dr. Anh Quan Nguyen possesses Bachelor of Science degrees in both Psychology and Biology from Colorado State University.  He began medical school in 2004 and obtained his doctorate in 2008 from St. Matthew's University School of Medicine.  He continued his education at St. Joseph’s College of Maine where he studied for his Masters in Health Administration.

Dr. Nguyen immigrated with his parents to the U.S. from Vietnam when he was a child.  He is fluent in Vietnamese.  Dr. Nguyen completed a preliminary Surgery year at The Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati, OH prior to changing specialties to family medicine.  He worked as a teaching assistant at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine, in the anatomy lab and volunteered at the Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, CO as an Emergency Room volunteer.
