Payton Fennell, from Charlotte, North Carolina, graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Biological Science. He attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Payton worked as an EMT in the Raleigh area during his undergraduate years. He enjoys scuba diving and is interested in hyperbaric medicine.

Payton lives in Charlotte with his wife and young daughter.
