David Luoma, from Cary, North Carolina, received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University.  He was an engineer with GTE for several years before entering medical school.  He attended medical school at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.  He served as president of the UNC Family Medicine Interest Group for two years.  David is fluent in Spanish.

David and his wife, Michele, enjoy camping and kayaking.
