Stephanie Elkins, from Chicago, Illinois, graduated from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a  B.S. in Biology.  She attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.  She was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha in her senior year.  She was the Illinois Academy of Family Practice Scholarship recipient.  Stephanie spent six months in Uganda in 1996 assisting with prenatal care and health education in a rural area.  She was very involved in volunteer activities during medical school.
